Astro-TAC 3000 Voter

The Astro-TAC 3000 is a retired Motorola Solutions product that provides digital and analog receiver voting in conventional and trunked radio systems. They work well in ham radio repeater service and can be used as a voter in a properly-configured repeater system using Quantar series equipment. Analog voting does require the v.24 link to be present in addition to the analog wiring (4-wire) but once setup, it does a very good job of analog viting, possibly better than older analog noise-measuring voters.

More information on Astro-TAC voters is available at W9CR's excellent wiki site.

Astrotac Monitor is a program I wrote to allow you to connect to an Astrotac 3000 voter via the RSS serial port and visually monitor its activity. It shows analog and digital voter activity, and allows you to perform voter commands by clicking on the site indicators to enable, disable or force vote a site. Astrotac Monitor is written in Visual Basic 6 SP3 (VB6SP3) and supports Windows XP through Windows 11. See the VB6 Projects page for more info on how to install my VB6 projects.
